Orion Outfitters and Guide Service is based out of the Western Mountains in Maine, approximately 20 minutes from Bethel, Maine and Sunday River to the east, and 30 minutes from Gorham, NH to the west.

Portland Airport is 1½hours from our camp. Pick up can be arranged.

Orion Outfitters is a family run business based on a few simple principles: work hard, treat people with respect, and provide the best possible trip, period. We can not guarantee you that a 10 point buck will walk into your cross hairs, or that you will land that trophy fish, but we will do everything possible to make it happen. We spend countless hours in the woods and on the waters in search of the best places to hunt, fish, and explore and to provide you with an exciting and rewarding experience. It goes far beyond pulling the trigger, or setting the hook. Our passion for what we do is your insurance that we will provide you with an experience you will never forget.

 A Registered Maine Guide and member of The Maine Professional  Guides Association, as well as an established outdoorsman with more than 25 years spent in the woods and waters of New England.

 My passion for the outdoors began the moment my dad put a fishing pole in my hands and took me fishing for the first time. From there, I soon learned to hunt and trap as well, spending countless hours studying the habits and habitats of the wild world around me. I quickly learned a deep respect for wildlife. My days were spent on the waters or the ice... or in the woods.

As a Boy Scout I continued to pursue new challenges, and I continued my education in the outdoors. Canoeing and hiking soon provided more access to wilder places and I climbed all but a few of the "4,000 footers" in Maine and New Hampshire's White Mountains.

As an adult, I found that my wife and children shared this same passion, and we soon realized that it was harder and harder to keep the balance in our lives with a career, and still have enough time to spend in the wilderness. It was then we decided that it was time to get back to basics, and back to what is truely important.

Orion Outfitters and Guide Service was created in an effort to share this passion with others, and to provide adventures that surpass expectations.
